Scott Kazmir might not be the only Oakland Athletics pitcher on the move before the MLB trade deadline. Tyler Clippard could be the next A's player heading out the door.

Clippard Could Be Dealt as Early as Monday

Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reported it's becoming increasingly likely Oakland will trade Clippard within the next few days. She mentioned the Washington Nationals, New York Mets and New York Yankees as potential destinations.

With the A's dead last in the American League West, they're clearly sellers at the deadline. They already sent Kazmir to the Houston Astros, while Slusser added Ben Zobrist could have a new team by the end of the week.
Clippard has pitched 38.2 innings this year, picking up 17 saves and posting a 2.79 earned run average. He's also striking out 8.8 batters per nine innings.
He has postseason experience and a proven track record in high-pressure situations. A team in contention could certainly use Clippard in the late innings of close games.
